Since our approval in 1990 by the Mongolian Railways Authority, “Mongol Teeh” was first founded which laid the foundation for “MongolTrans” LLC.

After expanding its operations, “Mongol Teeh” was rebranded to “MongolTrans” LLC in 1991, and we’ve been in business ever since then.

Our History

Founded in 1990 under the name “Mongol Transport” within the Ulaanbaatar Railway Administration, it became the foundation of “Mongoltrans” LLC. Through continuous development for 34 years, we have become a leader in the transport and logistics sector and continue to contribute to the economic and trade development of Mongolia.

1991:

We signed cooperation agreements with about 20 foreign firms when we first were founded.

1992:

Established business relationships with Japanese companies, participated in the Darkhan Ferrous Metallurgical Plant project, and organized the transportation of construction materials and equipment for installation.

1993-1998:

Cargo transportation for the Buyant-Ukhaa Airport expansion project, the Ulaanbaatar-Erdene soum road construction project, and the II, III, and IV power plant expansion projects was completed.

1996-1998:

120 city public transport buses and small social welfare vehicles were delivered to our customers.

1999:

Transport of combines and equipment from England and Finland.

2000:

The transportation of coal from the Baganuur mine was completed.

2001:

The transport of 8,000 tons of wheat from Kazakhstan was completed.

2000-2003:

Within the framework of the Japanese government grant project, the transportation of 120 diesel stations that were to be installed in 51 soum centers in 7 aimags was organized and delivered to customers. The tender for the transportation of the KR-2 project to support agriculture was won and about 40 tractors were imported from Finland. The work of delivering 30 thousand tons of fodder provided by the United Nations grant to rural soums was completed.

2002:

The transportation of coal mining equipment in Shivee Ovoo was completed.

2002:

The transportation of the tahi was completed.

The transportation of 25,000 tons of wheat was completed.

2003-2004:

The transportation of 7,000 tons of rice from Taiwan was completed.

2003-2005:

A complete set of oil exploration and production equipment and 35 oversized railcars of Australian company Rock Oil were transported to Kazakhstan.

2005-2007:

Cargo from the Oyu Tolgoi project was transported by road via China’s Ganzmod Port to the Gashuun Sukhait Port.

2006:

The transportation of Choir road equipment was completed.

2008:

Regularly transported shipments for major importers and manufacturers of domestic food and construction industries.

2008-2010:

Was recognized as the freight forwarding company that transported the most cargo in Mongolia.

2013:

The transportation of the poultry house and equipment in Bayanchandmani of the NVC company was completed.

2014:

Transportation of equipment for the Bagahangai cement plant and wind turbines for Choir and Sainshand is underway.

2015:

The transportation of equipment for the Oshitti Valley Thermal Power Plant was completed.
